Purpose of Job
The role is responsible to contract and procure several categories for Well Delivery, Well Services and Seismic Operations. Purpose of Job
To utilise authoritative levels of experience in automation engineering for managing and / or executing complex and / or specialised design, engineering, development, repair and/ or modification of automation equipment, devices, and application software.
To perform technical assessment, both hardware and software wise of any improvement projects/ideas raised, for smooth and value-adding implementation.
Focuses on current and future asset performance improvement opportunities to ensure that optimisation of processes and equipment takes place successfully.
To coach and guide fellow team members, including maintenance, junior Automation, and production personnel team members in matters related to Process and equipment Monitoring and Control.
Liaises with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), OPMs (Original Parts Manufacturers) and IT/IMS (Information Technology/Information Management System) in discussions of technical matters involving hardware and software, equipment and devices upgrades, installations, programming, and integration.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
• To apply in depth knowledge in the integration of Automation Equipment/Devices, software, and networks to respond to equipment functionality and business requirements. • To apply enhanced practical and meaningful steps in Automation problem solving methodology and lead the electrical and instrumentation teams in critical troubleshooting sessions. • To interpret and translate real business requirements into Automation engineering strategies and new implemented solutions, responding to production/ business objectives and targets. • Safeguard all control and monitoring systems against malicious software (implementation cybersecurity initiatives), ensure safe backup for all equipment software applications. • Look ahead and provide short term, intermediate and long-term Automation solutions, according to business needs. • Ownership of and authority over all automation assets/ plant automation matters. • Set criteria for specific automation maintenance strategies from the specifications/ standards and OME (Operating Model Entity) requirements/ recommendation. • Apply in depth knowledge in integration of Automation network (production/ process network) and equipment necessities with regards to process requirements. • Enhance meaningful steps in Automation problem solving by leading electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting. • Play a leading role in implementation of new ideas and work methods (such as automate reports, visualize the critical parameters in operator screens etc.). • Show ability to provide maintenance management support on complex Automation systems. • Mitigate Automation risks through engineering out / improvement / renewal / re-design. • Interpret and translate business requirements into an Automation engineering strategy to enable OME (Operating Model Entity) to safely meet production targets. • Deliver integrated and in-time Automation technical support to the OME (Operating Model Entity) to improve stability. • Provide short term, intermediate and long-term Automation solutions to the OME (Operating Model Entity); • Work along with all stakeholders, provide technical support to address complex Automation problems and minimise production impact (such as design and implement software). • Provide clear guidance on relevant specifications and standards when changes take place in the Automation field for a specific plant. • Ensure modifications/ designs comply with the required specifications and standards. • Identify technical advanced automation equipment, devices that can have a significant production impact. • Interpret and translate business requirements into an Automation engineering strategy to enable OME (Operating Model Entity) to safely meet production targets. • Facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation. • Report on budget utilisation, forecasting and changes. • Oversee the management of external service providers. • Maintain healthy and stable relationships with contractors and consultants. • Oversee the safety of external service providers. • Display influencing, negotiating, maturity and emotional intelligence. • Operate successfully in a diverse work environment.
