Our client in Maputo is looking for a External Affair Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Aluminium and Production sectors and a proven track record in the relevant field.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and manage the External Affairs strategy at the company’s inclusive of internal communications, external communications, community investment, stakeholder engagement, government engagement and liaison with relevant industry bodies/associations.
• Maintain oversight of External Affairs activities across all operational locations and surrounding communities.
• Proactively prepare and disseminate communications in the region to inform, connect and engage local stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the company External Affairs budget
• Shared Accountabilities (if applicable).

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Sciences/ Development Studies/Business or other relevant tertiary qualification.
• At least 10 years’ experience in a directly related environment.
• Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience in developing External Affairs plans and strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships across multiple levels of an organisation and with external stakeholders.
